James Branch Bocock (March 10, 1884 – May 25, 1946) was an American football, basketball, and baseball coach.[1] He served as the head football coach at the University of Georgia (1908), Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College and Polytechnic Institute (VPI)—now known as Virginia Tech (1909–1910, 1912–1915), the University of North Carolina (1911), Louisiana State University (1920–1921),[2] the University of South Carolina (1925–1926), and The College of William & Mary (1928–1930, 1936–1938), compiling a career college football record of 98–55–9. Although official records give Bocock credit only for coaching the Georgia Bulldogs football team in 1908, he also coached the last three games of Georgia's 1907 season. In 1907, Georgia head football coach Bull Whitney was caught in a controversy over the revelation that there were at least four paid professionals on the Georgia and Georgia Tech teams during the game played that year. As a result, Georgia removed all known ringers from its team and Whitney was forced to resign, handing the coaching duties over to Bocock for the last three games. Georgia was 2–1 in those three games.
At VPI, Bocock was the team's first true professional coach and the first head football coach to receive a full-time salary.[6]
Later life[edit]
Bocock died at the age of 62 on May 25, 1946 at his home in Blackstone, Virginia.[7]

From the same creators of the Millionaire Show, Tiny Brush, Zombie Sweeper and Dinosaur Slayer comes another out of this world game. D&D Dream’s Head Soccer isn’t really your kind of football. In this game, the characters, with literally large heads have to beat each other down with their noodles.
Sneak preview
When you watch any sports game on live television, you don’t just see the real-time action but an unremitting rundown of the scores, profiles of the player and all the rest of information. —This time rather, what you’ll find onscreen are the number of heads hit and some annoying yet funny-looking bobble heads in the summary of events.
The game you’ve been waiting to happen
And why is it at all so different? Perhaps this is the only soccer game that anyone can learn in a short period of time. All you have to do is to hit the opponent with deadly shots to win the tournament. Whether it’s the lighting shoot, ice shoot or the dragon shoot, as long as it’s lethal. Play this anywhere even on your desktops by downloading Head Soccer for PC.
- Facebook integration
- Hilarious animations
- Leaderboard match via Game Centre for Online Multiplayer Mode
- Easy physics control
- PvP (side by side)
- 5 game modes (Head Cup, League, Survival, Tournament and Arcade)
- 54 unique avatars and different costumes
Another thought for consideration are the roles of the underdogs in successful sports game. As we all know, underdogs must show an overwhelming performance to succeed. But it all becomes quite twisted here as there are no underdogs or no one seemed to look like. In Head Soccer, everyone here have to be the badass.
Give me that remote…
By all means, Head Soccer on PC is fairly easy to control. Your handset could double its function as virtual joystick while playing on desktop. At the left side of your screen, you will see there some arrows to move your characters. Towards the right side, you will see there a button that you can also tap should you wish to jump or kick. Next, you have to ‘score a goal’ by kicking the other player with your clever tricks. Each type of player represents a country with distinctive ‘talents’. Select from any of the characters or upgrade them when you unlock new ones.
Battle of the best
There are also several modes here. In the Arcade for instance, you can play a single match after choosing the opposing team. At the tournament, you have to work harder to bring home the trophy. That being said, you have to win the entire match. Survival is a continuous feat against your opponents until you become ‘lifeless’. Multiplayer lets you play with your friends in real-time via Bluetooth or Game Centre challenge. Play Head Soccer on PC to get the best angles while you’re watching the game.
Go anywhere, play anywhere
Sports-themed games in mobile entertainment are maybe one of the time-tested formulas for a successful application. It’s probably the replay advantage because the more you become familiar with the mechanics, the better you play. In football however, it’s somewhat more disposed to cliché. Besides, as there are a lot of games concerning soccer, almost anyone who watches the game becomes too acquainted with all its aspects. Head Soccer changes the line of game in all angles.
The gamer’s cup and all the other challenge
Mastering the Head Soccer is another story. It’s a bit challenging to do that as the ball rather fly off the screen (just to put it mildly). Mostly when you get a score, it doesn’t count on your adeptness with soccer games. In other words, you’re just plain lucky that the ball had fallen on someone’s head in perfect timing. Whenever you win, you instantly get coins. Then it’s all up to you however you wish to spend it at the in- game shop. Besides, there are quite plenty of interesting characters around here with familiar faces.
So if you were looking for a twist to the typical game of football league, this very stark and colourful game would surpass all the game standards. Well at least in the name of fun. Who ever thought that underdogs wouldn’t bring home the cup?
